Cooking Instructions
You’ll Need (For 50g Packet):

Chicken (boneless or bone-in): 1 kg

Tomatoes: 1 kg (finely chopped) or Tomato Sauce: 500g

Lemon Juice: 2 tsp

Plain Yogurt: 3 tbsp (whipped)

Single Cream: ½ cup
-
Unsalted Butter: ¾ to 1 cup

Cooking Oil: 2 tbsp
-
Shan Butter Chicken Mix: 1 packet
Steps:

Mix Shan Butter Chicken Mix with lemon juice, yogurt, and oil. Apply to chicken pieces and marinate for 1–3 hours.

Boil tomatoes in 1–2 cups of water for 10 minutes or until soft. Blend and strain to remove skins/seeds to make a smooth puree.

In a fry pan, lightly sear the marinated chicken for 2–3 minutes on each side. Set aside.

Add chicken to the tomato puree. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.

Add butter and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Stir in cream, cook for 1–2 minutes, and remove from heat.

Serve hot with naan or rice.

If using packaged cream, dilute with a little milk for a smoother texture.

For extra tender chicken, rinse in water mixed with 2 tbsp vinegar before cooking.
