Cooking Instructions
For One 60g Packet
Ingredients Needed:

Meat (bone-in): 1 kg / 2.2 lbs (small portions)

Basmati Rice: 3½ cups / 750g (washed and soaked)

Tomatoes: 200g / 2–3 medium (thin round slices)

Potatoes: 250g / 2 medium (peeled and quartered)

Plain Yogurt: ½ cup / 100g (whipped)
-
Onions: 175g / 2 medium (finely sliced)
-
Garlic Paste: 2 tbsp
-
Ginger Paste: 2 tbsp
-
Green Chilies (small): 10–20 whole
-
Fresh Coriander: 1 cup (chopped)
-
Mint Leaves: 1 cup (chopped)
-
Cooking Oil: 1 cup / 175ml
-
Shan Sindhi Biryani Mix: 1 packet (mixed in ½ cup water)
Steps to Cook:

Heat oil in a deep pan and fry onions until light golden. Add meat and garlic paste. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes on high heat.

Add Shan Sindhi Biryani Mix, potatoes, yogurt, and ginger paste. Stir-fry for 5 minutes.

Add water (4 cups for beef/lamb, 2 cups for chicken). Cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender. Ensure about 2 cups of gravy remain.

Place tomato slices, green chilies, coriander, and mint over the meat. Do not stir. Cover and cook on low for 5 minutes.

In a separate pot, boil 15 cups (3 liters) of water. Add 3 tbsp Shan Salt and soaked rice. Boil until rice is ¾ cooked, then drain thoroughly.

Layer rice evenly over the meat and gravy. Do not mix. Cover and cook on low heat for 5–10 minutes or until rice is fully tender.

Gently mix before serving.
